Feng Shui:
Feng-shui - literally "wind and water" - is a Chinese millennium art which aims to harmonize the energy (Qi) of a place so as to promote the health, the welfare and the prosperity of its occupants. It is one of the Taoist Arts, as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) or acupuncture, with which it shares a common core of knowledge.
For centuries, the Chinese refer to Feng-Shui to design their cities, build their homes and bury their dead. Nowadays, the business world consults Feng Shui masters to make decisions about the location of their offices.
Feng Shui has no relation with any belief or religious practice. It is rather about creating space so as to optimize the flow of energy by positioning in the right place at the right time, the Five Elements that are Wood, Fire, Metal, Water and Earth and ensuring that each occupant of the house knows its favorable directions to benefit from them. Therefore it is not about disrupting your environment with multiple modifications or to bring several items supposed to restore a balance.
