Initiation and divination deck called "Oracle" because the word means "a response made by God." It is an oracle in the sense that when you use this game by pulling a card at random, it will reveal you as a response given by the Gods.
This oracle in its contemporary aspect merely repeats a very old tradition which dates back to the dawn of civilizations, that of angels. The word "angel" means "messenger". An angel is a messenger from God. They are first mentioned in Genesis. They just help people in difficulty, counsel them, support them. In ancient times, the Angels intervened in a variety of ways. Sometimes it was an angel who appeared alone, it was sometimes several at once: three below the Membre oak with Abraham, in many with Jacob.
That happened a while ago. But maybe in a day of distress we'll also meet an angel and he will help us. Who knows? They appeared in any case to Joan of Arc, who in her trial asserted to have seen them “with her own eyes bodily and really."
The names of all the angels have a special meaning, that of their function. Thus the angel who brings the confidence is called Mehammiel which means confidence of God or trust in God, the angel who heals is called Raphael which means God heals. The angel who brings abundance is called El Iassaf which means God increases. There were about a thousand names of former angels, but the tradition speaks of myriads of angels. The deck designed by the contemporary artist is composed of 36 numbered cards. Each of these cards is an angel who wears a modern name according to the position he represents. But for each there was an ancient name that is also mentioned in the explanatory note as traditionally the old names (Hebrew, Assyrian, Chaldean, Greek) are carriers of energy, the energy accumulated by centuries of evocations and prayers and found in manuscripts, clay tablets, ancient books, pieces of bricks, on earthen cooked cups or medals.
Meditate on these angels helps us become aware of these bits of divinity that are in us. One can see them as spiritual allegories but our brain can give them life.
