Ritual instrument, the Dorje – or vajra - represents the indestructibility and efficiency that come to the end of all obstacles. It represents an effective way that destroys ignorance.
In Buddhism, the symbol consisted of two crossed vajras (double vajra) represents the vajra of the universe (in Tibetan “Dorje gyatram”). Its Sanskrit name is linked to a cosmogonic myth claiming it was the first object in the universe to take shape from the wind. He is the symbol of excellence by effective action, and the attribute of transcendent Buddha Amoghasiddhi, head of the family of karma (action). The double vajra sign is printed on the base of the statues to mark their completion.
